Kurnia Insurans Launches Kurnia Mobile iPhone Application

31 March 2011

Petaling Jaya, 31 March 2011 – Kurnia Insurans (Malaysia) Berhad (KIMB) recently became the first general insurer in Malaysia to launch its very own mobile application for iPhone users called Kurnia Mobile, which offers ease and convenience to customers and agents alike. This significant initiative is part of the Company’s continuous effort in providing the best customer service as well as keeping up with the advancement in mobile technology.

Kurnia Mobile can be downloaded for free from the Apple iPhone App Store and is a mobile insurance application that allows agents and customers to access Kurnia's services on-the-go via their iPhone. The application is also an extension of the Kurnia e-Cover System that provides Kurnia agents with the convenience of transacting business, accessing customers’ information and monitoring their business using their iPhone. Kurnia Mobile can be installed on and accessed from any iPhone models running on iPhone OS 3.2 or higher with 3G/GPRS/EDGE mobile access.

For agents who have their respective login IDs and passwords, they will be able to access their existing customers' information, renew their customers' policies and monitor their business anywhere and anytime.

As for customers and the general public, no login ID will be required and they will be able to use the calculator feature for car loan installment and road tax, branch locator, one-touch access to emergency auto assist service, and link to emergency directory.

KIMB aims to improve and introduce more exciting Kurnia Mobile features in the near future to further benefit our agents, policyholders and the general public. The Company will also review the current features and usage from time to time to provide relevant updates to our iPhone users.
