Happy 20th Birthday Kurnia!
Kurnia celebrated its 20th Anniversary with a birthday bash on 1 July 2011
at the lobby of Menara Kurnia. The Senior Management, HQ staff and Klang Valley's
MRPs gathered as early as 11.15am to take a glimpse of the colourful custom-made birthday
cake for the occasion.
The significant day began with an opening speech by Mr. Wong Kim Teck, CEO/Director of KIMB.
In his speech, Mr. Wong said that the special day also marked his first anniversary with Kurnia.
"When I came on board, the Transformation of Operation and Performance programme was already underway.
It is safe to say that it is now completed. In the first quarter, we have grown our non-motor business
by 22% and we expect further growth in our non-motor production." Mr. Wong also encouraged Kurnians to
look into their potentials and feel free to come forward to discuss on their career advancement with
Kurnia.
Fellow Kurnians then sang "Happy Birthday" and the cake-cutting ceremony was completed by the
Senior Management team, led by Tan Sri Dato' Paduka Kua Sian Kooi, Executive Chairman of KAB.
Following the cake-cutting ceremony, the Management also took the opportunity to announce the Top 3
winners of the Kurnia's 20th Anniversary Tagline Contest. The prizes were presented by Mr. Wong to the
respective winners.
All Kurnians were treated to a special buffet lunch and delicious birthday cake at 3rd and 9th floors.
On the same day, Kurnians from other branches nationwide also celebrated the joyous day with cakes and a
wide array of foods.
1 July symbolises our continued commitment and unity for future growth and success. With that,
we look forward to many happy returns!
