Happy 19th Anniversary, Kurnia!
1 July 2010 marked another fruitful year for Kurnia as it celebrated its 19th
Anniversary in a birthday celebration held at the lobby of Menara Kurnia. The
day also signified the official first day in office for Kurnia Insurans’ new
CEO, Mr. Wong Kim Teck. Kurnians, including the Senior Management,
agents and staff gathered at 12pm to commemorate this auspicious event.
The special occasion began with an opening speech by Datuk Steven Kua, Deputy
Executive Chairman of Kurnia Asia Berhad. He recalled: “Kurnia has come
a long way and has faced a lot of challenges along the way. As Tan Sri stressed
during the Agency Convention in Langkawi, regardless of whether we are staff,
agents or panel repairers, we are one big Kurnia family. Hence, we need to
work together and strengthen the team spirit that we have built over the course
of 19 years and move ahead.”
Datuk Steven also officially introduced and welcomed the new CEO, Mr. Wong,
to the Kurnia family.
Mr. Wong then introduced himself and highlighted the 4 key initiatives for
Kurnia Insurans as he leads the company. These initiatives aim to achieve greater
heights through sales stimulation, better selection of business or agent, growing
non-motor business and reducing management expenses.
Fellow Kurnians then sang “Happy Birthday” and the cake-cutting
ceremony was completed by the Senior Management team. Following the cake-cutting
ceremony, buffet lunch and the birthday cake were shared at the lobby, 3rd
and 9th floors. On the same day, Kurnians from other branches nationwide also
celebrated the joyous day with cakes and a wide array of foods.
1 July symbolises our continued commitment and unity for future growth and
success. With that, we look forward to many happy returns!
