Launch of One Touch Campaign
Kurnia Insurans successfully launched the One Touch Campaign at Menara Kurnia
on 3 September 2009. The campaign aims to promote the use of Kurnia’s
Toll Free hotline number 1-800-88-3833 by educating our private car comprehensive
policyholders to save the number into their mobile phone’s speed dial
function and call in the event of an emergency. The auspicious event was well
attended by our supportive agents, business partners and members of the media.
The morning started off with the emcee briefly introducing the campaign, followed
by an opening speech by Captain Chia. In his speech he commented, “Over
the years, Kurnia has been promoting our hotline number by giving away stickers,
brochures and other collaterals. However, in times of emergency, we know that
there will be people who fail to remember our number to call for assistance.
Our findings showed that only 5% of customers remember to call their insurers
for help during an accident. As a caring insurer, we want to remind our policyholders
that we are just 'One Touch' away.
Our Deputy Transport Minister, YB Datuk Abdul Rahim bin Bakri, who launched
the campaign, commended Kurnia Insurans for launching the One Touch Campaign,
which aims to raise awareness among our private car comprehensive policyholders
to call the right number when seeking for assistance. He was delighted to see
such innovations by Kurnia Insurans, the general insurance leader in the industry,
as we have taken proactive measures to protect our policyholders on the road
against breakdowns and accidents.
The launching ceremony saw YB Datuk Abdul Rahim, Captain Chia and En. Kamal
Arifin activating the number “5” button together on a mock handphone
on the stage, which denotes the speed dial number for Kurnia’s Toll Free
hotline.
The guests were then entertained by a group of performers. The launching ceremony
ended with a press conference held at the Auditorium, Level 9. Speaking at
the press conference, Captain Chia said that Kurnia has almost 1 million private
car comprehensive insurance policyholders, garnering about 19% of the market
share. “At present, for every five cars on the road, one is insured by
Kurnia. We hope that one in every four cars will be under us soon,” he
added.
