Kurnia Panel Repairers Convention 2009

Kurnia Insurans recently held its first Panel Repairers Convention at The Pavilion, Genting Highlands from 16 to 18 August 2009. Themed “Riding New Waves,” the convention’s main objective was to establish and enhance a good working relationship with Kurnia’s panel repairers nationwide. It was also organized as a token of appreciation for their support and commitment. This partnership involves a support network nationwide, which aims to maintain and reinforce superior service to our customers through our panel workshops. Approximately 450 workshop personnel and 10 adjusters attended the convention.

On the first day of the event, over 600 people, including Kurnia Insurans staff, gathered for a Durian Party held at DZH Sichuan Restaurant in Gohtong Jaya to enjoy the different varieties of durian species, from D24 to Musang Emas. The participants were also treated to a spicy Sichuan buffet by the poolside.

On day two, the convention began at 9.30am with an inspiring message from Captain K. H. Chia, the MD/CEO of Kurnia Insurans. Captain Chia shared on Kurnia’s business philosophy, its enhanced Kurnia Auto Assist (KAA), KAA riders and Kurnia Express (KE) services and the importance of working together as a team. Two guest speakers, Dr Lim Guan Chong and Dr Tan Beng Huat, were also present to give a talk on “Riding New Waves.”

A Gala Dinner was launched by Captain Chia and Kurnia Insurans’ Executive Director, Dato’ T.M. Quah. A total of 11 awards were presented to KAA service providers from various states for their excellent service support. The guests were entertained by performances and shows. The night continued with toasting sessions in the ballroom.

On the final day of the function, a simple ceremony took place at Genting International Convention Centre (GICC) during which representatives from the workshops were called on stage to receive certificates and later signed the ‘panelship’ renewal with Kurnia. The ceremony ended at 11am with all participants looking forward to a similar event next year.
