Kurnia Malaysia
Happy 17th Birthday Kurnia!
Happy Birthday Kurnia Insurans! It's this time of the year again to celebrate
our 17 years of colourful history and bind us stronger on this joyous occasion.
Kurnia started its humble beginning in 1991 and celebrated this auspicious
day with only 100 staff. Today, we have over 1700 staff to sing "Happy Birthday" song
for Kurnia.
Our Chairman Tan Sri has always been the pillar of success with his constant
motivation and guidance to propel the team forward. This is again reflected
in his message to us this morning, "Fellow Kurnians, we have not been doing
well for the past few years but that does not mean we are not performing. Effective
review on our weaknesses and starting again with total efforts are the way
forward. Develop more leaders around you should be the basic principle to strengthen
our management platform at the moment. Success will lie on your belief in the
company while maximizing your capability. We start now..."
Sharp at 12 pm, the lobby was already filled with Kurnians, anxiously waiting
to take a bite of the cake. Our new Managing Director (MD)/Chief Executive
Officer (CEO) Captain Chia shared his warm welcoming speech with all colleagues
at the lobby of Menara Kurnia before the cake cutting ceremony. "I feel honoured
to be sharing the same birthday with the company as today also marks my first
official day to serve as your MD/CEO," said Captain. "I always believe in putting
the right people in the right box, then only they can perform. Together, we
are a T.E.A.M - Together Everyone Achieves More. Once again, let's wish Ourselves
Happy Birthday!" as he ended his speech. Everyone sang along the "Happy Birthday" song
and gave each other a good handshake and hug for many good lucks to come.
1st July 2008, symbolizes our commitment and unity for future growth. And
with that, we look forward to many happy returns!
