Kurnia Insurans Sponsors RM35,000 to Five Hearts Car Team
Bangsar, Friday, 10 April 2009 -Kurnia Insurans (M) Berhad (KIMB) has contributed
a total of
RM35, 000 in cash and kind in support of the Five Hearts Car Team
project initiated by China Press Group. As part of our Corporate Social Responsibility
initiatives, this project serves as a platform to reach the community with
our services and also to disseminate anti-crime messages among the people.
KIMB’s Chief Executive Officer, Captain K. H. Chia presented the mock
cheque to Nanyang’s Group Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Liew Sam Ngan,
accompanied by the Transport Minister, YB Dato’ Seri Ong Tee Keat and
Nanyang’s Group Chairman, Dato’ Paul Leong during the launch. Also
present to witness the ceremony were Dato’ T. M. Quah, Executive Advisor
of KIMB and Mr. Low Eng Chuan, Assistant General Manager of Agency Distribution.
The Five Hearts Car Team’s main objective is to raise donations for
the benefit of the Chinese community and create awareness on the need for “Care” and “Benevolence”.
The Five Hearts represent the five segments, namely the Entertainment, People,
Charity, Savoir and Freebies. The ground events are to be held at various venues
in Peninsular Malaysia, targeted at rural areas and main towns of various states.
“I believe that the Five Hearts Car Team will be a successful project.
With the noble objective in mind, we will be able to bring love and care to
the needy ones.” Captain Chia gave his words of encouragement to the
team when speaking to the reporters after the ceremony.
All in all, the launch of China Press Five Hearts Car Team was a great success.
The whole project will last for the next 12 months.
