Colouring Contest at Rukun Tetangga Pekan Kajang
Kurnia Insurans, together with other institutions such as Nestle, Majlis Perbandaran Kajang (MPKJ) and Jabatan Perpaduan Negara & Intergrasi Nasional Selangor, sponsored a colouring contest at the Dewan Besar MPKJ on Sunday, April 1, 2007.
Held in conjunction with Visit Malaysia 2007, the contest was open to children
from ages between 4 - 12 years to commemorate Malaysia's 50th year of independence.
Kurnia also sponsored this event back in the year 2004 and 2005. The State
Assembly woman of Kawasan Kajang Y. B. Datin Paduka Low Lee Leng was also present
at the event to give a short speech thanking all the sponsors for their
contributions during the event.
Conscious of our social obligations as a caring and responsible corporate
citizen, Kurnia has been contributing generously, both in cash and in kind,
to the needy, schools and a host of other charitable organisations from time
to time. As quoted by Kurnia Insurans (KIMB) Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Kong
Shu Yin, "...one of the five attributes in our Kurnia's Mission Statement is
conscientiously thought out to read as to continue as a caring organisation
and corporate citizen."
The contest saw many talented children taking part, each with their own style
and interpretation. The top 3 who impressed the judges most won a prize
each, much to their delight. Acting as co-sponsor, Kurnia would like to thank
fellow
agent, Mr. Ho Saw Chim of Hoo Secure Risk Management who initiated the campaign
and to all the children who took part enthusiastically. Congratulations to
all the winners!
