Kurnia Mediguard's Caring Day
Kurnia Mediguard's Caring Day (Blood Donation Campaign) was successfully organised on Saturday, February 18th, 2006 at the Butterworth Branch with the help of the Kulim General Hospital's Blood Bank. The objective of the programme was to create awareness towards Kurnia Mediguard's Hospitalization and Surgical Insurance as well as promoting a caring and healthy lifestyle in our community. The blood donation programme successfully drew 64 donors which comprised 22 agents, 23 customers and 19 staff who took time off during the weekend to do their part for the community. Three new policyholders have also signed up for MediGuard Express.
Kurnia's Alor Setar Branch also organized a similar campaign on Friday, January 20th, 2006. Responding to the Government Hospital of Alor Setar's appeal to replenish their blood bank, the outcome was encouraging as it attracted more than 100 prospective donors. The campaign yielded 63 packs of blood, which was higher than Alor Setar General Hospital's own target of 50 packs! A counter to promote Kurnia's medical insurance was also set up to publicize our products. Free gifts were given out to the public after answering some questions in a survey.
The event was organized by Kurnia and co-sponsored by Ommax Enterprise, Serba Wangi Sdn. Bhd., Thye Seng Chan (K) Sdn. Bhd., Ong Chuan Hin Trading Sdn. Bhd. and Star Parade.
We wish to thank all parties and sponsors for their kind donations and assistance in the campaigns! In view of the encouraging results and good experience gained from this event, both branches plan to organize more campaigns in the near future.
Thank you all for the encouragement and support!
