PDRM Festive Season & School Holidays Road Safety Campaign
The Festive Season and School Holidays Road Safety Campaign 2004 / 2005 was officially launched on November 9th, 2004 at Bukit Aman Police Headquaters in Kuala Lumpur. Kurnia Insurans, the co-sponsor, donated RM30,000 to aid this meaningful event. The event was attended by our Prime Minister, YAB Dato' Seri Abdullah b. Haji Ahmad Badawi and welcomed by Federal Head Police Officer, YDH Tan Sri Mohd Bakri b. Haji Omar. According to our honourable Prime Minister, the number of accidents and death tolls during the festive seasons were extremely depressing due to the fact that many road users tend to be in a rush and careless on the road. He added that stern action would be taken against any traffic offenders to curtail this problem. This campaign was officially launched by our Prime Minister, YAB Dato' Seri Abdullah b. Haji Ahmad Badawi. Attending the event were Senior General Manager, Encik Zainal Sehat, General Manager, Encik Kamal Ariffin and Assistant General Manager, Ms. Han Chon Mee.
