Insurance Day 2004 - Road Safety Campaign

In conjuntion with Insurance Day 2004 on July 27th, 2004, Persatuan Insuran Am Malaysia (PIAM) recently launched the first phase of the Road Safety Campaign themed "Utamakan Keselamatan, Pandu Selamat" (Think Safety, Drive Safely) in response to the Prime Minister's message to have more frequent, longer-running road safety campaigns.

A motorcycle helmet sticker campaign was also launched on August 19th, 2004 where helmet stickers were distributed to motorcyclists to keep the thought of their safety and that of others who use the roads and highways central to their travel plans. A Car Sticker Campaign has also been planned for September 2004 to coincide with a Radio Campaign on Road Safety. The car sticker campaign will involve the distribution of car stickers to motorists plying the highways operated by PLUS. The radio campaign will involve messages from radio DJs on useful tips and on-air quizzes on road safety and car maintenance as well as contests on the radio's website.

Campaign stickers were distributed to Kurnia Insurans to be used in all outgoing correspondence as well as campaign posters to be displayed at our office premises. Organised in collaboration with PLUS, the campaign was officially launched by the Minister of Transport, Y.B. Dato' Sri Chan Kong Choy with the purpose of raising the awareness amongst the motoring public. Kurnia Insurans Chairman, Dato' Adrian Loh and CEO, Mr. Kong Shu Yin lent their support by attending the launch at the Restaurant Jejantas Sungai Buloh on the PLUS North-South Expressway.
